Colorado's 3rd Congressional District. Are you worried about the seriousness of right wing extremism with its contrived belligerent anger, trumpian totalitarian thinking, and our very own Colorado US Representative Laura Boebert as one of its standard bearers?
If you are concerned? Consider the political reality, by ourselves, we are impotent to change anything, but united we can stand up to energize our politicians. United we can have a change and sustain hope.
My point is that if you are concerned, you need to join up with organizations such as Rural Colorado United, people who are dedicated to standing behind and pushing our half-measure Democratic Representatives to step it up and start doing a better job of defending our pluralistic principled government and democracy.
We need our Senators and Representatives to focus on winning, rather than rationalizing away their losses, along with the horrendous cascading consequences Democratic Party failures lead to.
That's why I’m reposting this information from Rural Colorado United's website, although I’ve added many more links to add supporting information.
I am unaffiliated with Rural Colorado United, but I believe their message needs to be shared and circulated around the Western Slope as much as possible, that's if we are to hope for positive change.
A healthy Democracy requires an informed and engaged citizenry, can you help?}
Getting to know Lauren Boebert,
Colorado's 3rd Dist. Congresswoman,
someone who despises the government she took an oath to defend and protect.

Rural Colorado United
Rural Colorado United believes that the good people of the 3rd Congressional deserve qualified, bipartisan representation that can make a difference for our lives and bring stability and recovery to our communities.
Candidate Lauren Boebert's embrace of extremist militias, inability to answer even simple policy questions, and hyper-partisan celebrity seeking all disqualify her for us.
We're not alone. The Daily Sentinel, Pueblo Chieftain, and Durango Herald have all cited Lauren's behavior in their endorsements.
And that was before we unearthed (Boebert's) trail of lawbreaking, {abusing law officers} unpaid taxes, staggering restaurant losses, repeat actions endangering other families' children, and disrepute among former employees.

RURAL COLORADO UNITED
BREAKS THE STORY ON LAUREN'S FABRICATIONS
In a September and October press releases, Rural Colorado United laid bare a series of fabrications in Lauren Boebert's origin story, as she's told it in numerous interviews and during the GOP primary:
- No one was murdered behind her Rifle, CO restaurant, prompting staff to arm themselves. Instead, a man died of a drug overdose in the night.
- Lauren's mother was not, in fact, a registered Democrat dependent on some mythic dole when she was growing up. Her mother registered as a Republican in 2001 and changed to an unaffiliated in 2013. Only in 2020 - when Lauren ran for office - did her mother change her registration back to Republican. In 2006, Lauren herself registered as a Democrat.
- Lauren told voters that she'd earned a GED after dropping out of High School. It was revealed that she actually earned that GED in the spring of this year when she was running for office
The depth of Lauren's lawbreaking also came to light, with past citations and infractions including:
- Lauren is six months behind on a campaign finance filing of how she spends supporters' money and two months behind the extended deadline of her personal finances filing, which would otherwise clarify how she maintains her Rifle restaurant despite running a $242,347 loss last reported in 2018
- Reckless driving citations in three counties, including tailgating, speeding, and multiple failures to use child safety restraints
- Inciting underage drinkers at Country Jam to flee law enforcement custody, where Lauren threatened deputies with her connections at Fox News
- Eight tax liens against (Shooters) her Rifle, CO restaurant totaling $19,000 dollars owed to the people of Colorado - liens about which Boebert lied
- A home foreclosure eviction and a civil debt case filed by Capital One Bank
- Allowing pit bulls to remain at large without licensing
- Failure to appear in court
- Citations at her Rifle, CO restaurant including potentially hazardous food storage, poor hand-washing practice, and failure to observe county or state licenses - in addition to poisoning up to 80 people with unsafe pork products at a Rifle rodeo through her other food business

INSIGHTS | Crime and punishment are political players in Colorado this year
Joey Bunch, Colorado Politics Sep 17, 2020
I used to think the South would join the rest of the country. Now I see the rest of the country became more like the South.
They have a fondness for a rascal Down South, and this election will tell us if Colorado does, too.

Colorado Legislators Joined Extremist Groups for a “We Will Not Comply” Rally Against Red Flag Law
Erik Maulbetsch, December 9, 2019, ColoradoTimesRecorder.com
Approximately two hundred people rallied at the state Capitol Saturday against Colorado’s new “red flag” law, which allows guns to be taken from people deemed a threat to themselves or others.
Organizers of the “We Will Not Comply” rally included Rally For Our Rights activist Lesley Hollywood, conservative Facebook personality Sheronna Bishop, and gun rights activist Lauren Boebert, who just launched her campaign for Colorado’s Third Congressional District, where she will challenge incumbent U.S. Rep. Scott Tipton in the Republican primary.
