Gorsuch's Victims & Pre-Hearing Update - March 16th telebriefing

Supreme Court Campaign Member Briefing: Gorsuch's Victims & Pre-Hearing Update (RSVP Now)
Thursday, March 16 @ 7:00pm Eastern Time (6pm Central / 5pmMountain / 4pm Pacific)
We're continuing to uncover more and more about the trail of pain left by Trump Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch as a judge on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Judge Gorsuch has an extreme judicial philosophy that puts him even farther to the right than the late Justice Antonin Scalia and poses an urgent threat to Americans' civil rights and liberties, equality for women and LGBT people, voting rights, the environment, workers' rights, disability rights, consumer protections, you name it.
Gorsuch's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing will begin on March 20In advance of the hearing, we're hosting a special telebriefing on Thursday, March 16 to update our members about some of the real stories of Gorsuch's victims and our campaign to STOP his confirmation.
The call will take place at 7pm Eastern Time (6 Central / 5 Mountain / 4 Pacific) on March 16.
As you learn about the real people harmed by Gorsuch's decisions, keep in mind that the damage goes well beyond people who were directly involved in his cases. Judge Gorsuch's penchant for ruling in favor or powerful corporate and institutional interests over the rights and interests of workers and everyday Americans could impact the law in a way that would hurt countless Americans for generations to come.
PFAW and our allies have been able to establish a clear picture of the threat posed by Judge Gorsuch if he makes it onto the Supreme Court. Neil Gorsuch has a "nice guy" image that has disarmed many of his would-be critics. But as a judge, Gorsuch is a champion of extreme views about the law that undermine our constitutional rights and values.
There are reasons why any Trump nominee for the Supreme Court could be considered illegitimate -- especially for THIS seat, after the Senate Republican blockade of President Obama's nominee Merrick Garland.
But this is not about payback for Merrick Garland. And it's not even about Trump's attacks on the Judicial Branch and his desire to pack the courts with deferential judges who will rubber stamp his agenda. It's about blocking a the confirmation of an unacceptable nominee who has a record of outright hostility to Americans' fundamental rights.
Find out more this coming Thursday!
Thanks,
Diallo Brooks, Director of Outreach and Public Engagement
